Getting started: Your first week with ZippyCrowd????

What is ZippyCrowd?

ZippyCrowd is the word-of-mouth platform helping small business owners grow their businesses through personal recommendations and networks.  We are on a mission to bring more trust into the online world of work and business.

ZippyCrowd aims to become an invaluable and most trusted endorsement site for over millions of people worldwide – small business owners, makers, creators, freelancers, side hustlers, and everyday mums and dads.

One of the common questions we get from prospective ZippyCrowd users is how to get their trusted people to use it. They love word-of-mouth, and they’ve heard it offers trust, saves effort, time, money, whether searching for the right people or promoting your own skills and business. But they aren’t sure where to start, since it’s a new platform and a new way of working together. 

Here are some simple, quick ways to get started: 

Getting on board

Starting with ZippyCrowd is supper simple, takes seconds, and is completely FREE. Free version of ZippyCrowd will give you  enough features to become discoverable, to promote your services and business, get recommended to opportunities and find people you need, recommended by people you trust. 

1. Go to ZippyCrowd homepage at zippycrowd.com     
2. Hit ‘Sign up’
3. Select signup with Facebook or Google, and you are in.

Great! Now you can ask recommendations, showcase your services and support your people.

ZippyCrowd profile, and why do I need it?

We want to keep ZippyCrowd platform accessible and transparent to everyone, so you need to have a profile in order to ask recommendations and showcase your services. 

Trust and real relationships are at the core of what ZippyCrowd is all about. We want to make sure that every recommendation comes from people you know and trust. This helps us make sure that all recommendations you read on ZippyCrowd are genuine. 

I’m new here. How do I promote my services and get new customers?

You’ve signed up and created profile.  You want to promote your services and business, and get more work and new customers. Free plan allows you to showcase and promote up to 3 different streams of services.

1. On the ZippyCrowd crowdfeed page, or on your profile Services tab select  Showcase your services button.
2. Create your first Service, entering title, description, location and the details of services you offering.
3. Hit Post to crowdfeed button.
4. Navigate to the Promote your services screen
5. Decide which of your people can help you most, and share your Service with them. You can share your Services with Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp, and more.
6. We will notify you when you start getting recommendations.  

How do I build my trusted crowd

ZippyCrowd works best with people you trust. Begin with a handful of people you regularly go to for recommendations.

1. First decide who your favorite people are. Think ‘friends and people I trust’, ‘favorite hairdresser, yoga instructor, accountant, designer, personal trainer, and more’
2. Hit Add to my trusted crowd button. You can find it in your profile hero, in trusted crowd tab, in side menu, and in a few other places.
3. Select the your social channel of choice to invite each friend.
4. Add a few words to the template invite we made for you (if you want).
5. We will let you know when your invited friends join.
6. We will prompt them too, so they can trust you back by adding you to their trusted crowds.

You can share recommendations only with people who you have zipped into your trusted crowd, and they have zipped you back. With everyone else you can engage via direct messages. 

Help your crowd with recommendations

Your content goes here. Edit or remove this text inline or in the module Content settings. You can also style every aspect of this content in the module Design settings and even apply custom CSS to this text in the module Advanced settings.

1. Navigate to crowdfeed, or check your notifications and emails
2. See who is asking for help in your trusted crowd.
3. If you know someone you can recommend, hit ‘Recommend’ in the relevant Ask.
4. Navigate to the ‘Recommendation’ screen
5. Select the name of the person in your trusted crowd to recommend, or invite that person with Whatsapp, Facebook, Messenger, and more.
6. We will prompt you when they join ZippyCrowd, so you can put them forward.
